I have a 1994 Ford Ranger. I have the stock radio, which works fine, that I don't want to replace. I purchased 2 new speakers (front ones were blown) and they bolted right in place. They sound good but don't have as much bass as i'd like. For the rear 2 speakers, I want something that has more bass. So, I thought I'd upgrade the speakers to a bigger size. How to Make Speakers Have More Bass. By: Bob Shneidley. Share; Share on Facebook; Speaker systems are commonly used yet also commonly misunderstood. Fortunately, changes that run the gamut from big to small can make a huge difference in the way your speakers sound. Follow these instructions and you will have your stereo system thundering.
hi. i have a pair of audio technicas ath m50s. i bought them because of the praise for their sound quality and bass. with all that praise, i thought they would be able handle anything. i have my boost set on 50 hz with 24 db. that is the motherboard boost option. i then have a bass boost box thing connected to my pc. it can handle fine when the volume is normal but turning up would result in distortion. is there another headphone that can handle more bass than the m50s?

After reading a lot of feedback from the sub I pulled the trigger on a Denon AVR-X3400H (coming from a Marantz).
Loving it so far, but can't seem to get any real bass to my Klipsch front speakers (2 10inch woffers per speaker). I've tried automatic/manual speaker setups and still no joy. This is includes setting the front speakers to large and small (with sub set to sub & mains at 40hz) and turning off/on all equalizers.
My Klipsch used to send all hz to mains without any problem. This provided a fuller sound for movies/music and allowed me to save some $$$ on not having to purchase a sub. What am I missing? Should I be looking at a different receiver?
